Megan Golden - Senior Director

Megan Golden specializes in performance management, innovation and innovative financing mechanisms for scaling and sustaining effective interventions. In addition to her consulting work, Megan Golden is currently a fellow at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. 

Megan began her career working for New York City government as a New York City Urban Fellow, where she designed and implemented New York City’s first voter information hotline. She spent more than 15 years as a senior manager at the Vera Institute of Justice, working closely with the Mayor’s office and City agencies including the departments of Correction, Probation, Homeless Services, Housing Preservation and Development and Education and the Administration for Children’s Services. She led teams that conducted research and developed policies and programs in areas including alternatives to juvenile placement, educational neglect, adolescents incarcerated at Rikers Island, preventing family homelessness, adolescent drug treatment, school safety and policing immigrant communities. In addition to creating and launching eight innovative demonstration programs, Megan led a major reform of New Orleans's criminal justice system and helped Chinese academics and officials pilot criminal justice reforms.

Megan also directed the Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service at NYU’s Wagner School from 2006 – 2009. She practiced law from 1992-1994 as a Skadden Fellow at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. In 1994, she was awarded the prestigious White House Fellowship. She has a BA in political science from Brown University and a JD magna cum laude from the New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Snow Scholar.

Lloyd Downey

Lloyd is a senior consultant with deep background in public policy development, international trade and foreign relations and cross-government collaboration.

In his work with Liana Downey & Associates, Lloyd has recently served a major Australian non-profit in their undertaking to combat educational disadvantage, has facilitated board workshops for several environmental nonprofits and developed materials for community consultation.

Lloyd has more than 25 years experience as a diplomat and senior executive with Austrade (the Australian government’s trade agency), including serving as a diplomat in Mexico, Malaysia, New Zealand, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. His work at Austrade focused on the promotion of Australian economic development, with specialties in services exports, including education, sports and professional services. Lloyd has also worked as an Agronomist with the NSW Department of Agriculture and the CSIRO, with particular expertise in land, soils, water and nature resources.

Lloyd holds a Master of Science in Agriculture degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of Letters in Philosophy (Ethics) from the ANU.

Lisca McClanachan

Lisca is an experienced management consultant, who specializes in working closely with organisations to develop practical business approaches.

Lisca has worked with clients across Asia, Europe and Australia, on topics including climate change, education and addressing disadvantage. Prior to joining Liana Downey & Associates, Lisca worked as a freelance consultant and for Bain and Company.

Work with Liana Downey & Associates has included developing detailed business plans for a new non-profit, developing a governance system for the role out of indigenous carbon farming initiatives across three states, and developing community consultation materials for aboriginal communities.

Lisca brings experience in growth strategy and implementation, detailed financial analysis, market and competitor assessment across the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Examples include supporting the New Sydney Cancer Centre in their $250m development and construction phase; working with numerous multinational corporations to develop global growth strategies; and conducting market and competitors analysis for a major Australian airline, and a global consumer goods company.

Lisca holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Economics) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Queensland.

Zoe Hodder

Zoe is an experienced management consultant, with expertise in strategy and governance.

Work at Liana Downey & Associates, includes conducting detailed carbon-market assessment and forecasting, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to develop sustainable business models for disadvantaged communities and facilitating strategic planning workshops for government, and nonprofit clients.

Zoe brings strong commercial and regulatory experience, with a track record of developing detailed business and investor plans, incorporating financial modelling, competitor and market analysis and risk assessment. She has also supported numerous organizations in developing organizational and governance structures to support their business strategy. She has worked with government, non-profit and private clients across Australia and Asia. Prior to joining Liana Downey & Associates, Zoe worked as a freelance consultant and for McKinsey & Company, and Zoe was the founder and CEO of a specialist consumer product business.

Zoe holds a bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the University of Queensland (Honor Roll, and Dean's Commendations).

Stephanie Martin

Stephanie is a senior facilitator with significant experience in the social and private sectors.

Stephanie has lead Board retreats and top team strategic sessions for private and nonprofit clients. Stephanie also lectures in public speaking at Princeton University.

Stephanie was the CEO of in the Glycaemic Index Foundation in Australia, driving significant uptake of GI measurement and usage across Australia, and helping advocate on behalf of millions suffering from Diabetes in Australia. Stephanie has also worked as consultant at McKinsey & Company, working on strategic and governance issues for a range of non-profit and private sector organisations. Prior to McKinsey, Stephanie established and ran a successful sports coaching enterprise.

Stephanie holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.

Haley Reimbold

Haley is an experienced consultant with a background in research, development planning and curriculum design with organizations in the youth, justice, social entrepreneurship, and education sectors.
Haley’s experience includes work with the Vera Institute of Justice in New York as a planning analyst, where she led year–long state-funded investigations of youth involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, developed recommendations for improvement, and coordinated a panel of systems experts. At Vera, her work has focused on young people in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Haley is a member of the New York State Juvenile Justice Advisory Group (a governor-appointed board of state leaders) since 2007 and has been on the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice for the past 2 years. Haley founded and ran The Underground Cafe Teen Center, a social enterprise that provided employment and supportive services for vulnerable youth who were homeless, in the justice system, pregnant/parenting, disconnected from school, or facing abuse and/or neglect at home.
She has also worked as a development consultant in Nepal, and Cambodia, and with Kids Oneida, where she received a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families Social Services, to apply research on Adverse Childhood Experiences Trauma and in a local context
Haley holds a BA in Women’s Studies from Hamilton College, and is an MS Candidate in Applied Social Research at Hunter College, NY.
